Google has launched its latest version of Android (Android 7.1.2) and is available for download on some of the devices.
This feature boasts a number of improvements for OS and will also include bug fixes and upgrade. While available for download, the new update is not available at launch for every device. To no one’s surprised, the first devices which will make use of this new update will be Google’s own Pixel and Pixel XL, as well as the Nexus 6P, 5X and the Pixel C Devices.
According to official claims by Google, the Android 7.1.2 Nougat update will address some major issues that have been affecting the Pixel and the Pixel XL, and it includes a fix to the audio popping issue that has been plaguing devices in recent times.
On top of that, the update will improve performance in the fingerprint swipe and a Bluetooth connectivity boost, as well as sever fixes with the pink bands that kept appearing on the screen of the camera.
Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P will also receive the fingerprint gesture ability, which was previously only useable on the Pixel. This allows the user to control the device with the use of fingerprint gestures in order to launch the notification drawer, regardless of where you are.
All of the initially supported devices will be receiving a brand new indicator for the status bar and also a battery usage alert service which will inform the user if an app will be consuming too much power from the battery.
Google has revealed a host of features in the software, which includes a picture-in-picture mode for your phone. You will now be able to cut what applications are running in the background to save battery life and to change how applications will be displayed.
